🤖 You choose what you call people. If you invited someone as "Dermo" and they
sign up as "Dermot", you keep calling them Dermo — and when someone changes
their name, the choice appears right in your chat with them: switch to their
new name, or keep yours. You can also rename anyone for yourself from their
profile card — tap the title of your chat with them. Mentions follow along:
type @ and the name you use, and the mention finds them and shows on your
screen as your name for them (everyone else sees the name they chose). Your
names for people are private to you: they're locked so only your own devices
can read them — other members and the server never see them.
